The Ethical Theory of Music as Mimesis
Music is like the motions that take place in your soul when you feel that way. So its direct and unfiltered, rather than representational and symbolic. I think it's still a form of representation, but i think it's a more direct form than all the other forms of art. Doesn't mean it's better. It just means that it's more powerful.
