At a prior startup, we built this system as an intelligent executive assistant. We had like a lot of Google DNA in the founding team. And so not me, but our CTO scaled up Google Analytics using a bunch of cool C++ work. The crawler microservice handled a huge amount of work for us. It turned out there were a couple of memory safety bugs in in curl. So we ended up taking this crawler service and rewriting that from C ++ to Rust.
