The History of the CIA
The book combines probably five or six centuries of academic research, declassified documents coming out of Washington and then me doing 125 to 150 interviews in 12 countries and four languages. The picture that I'm painting right now about U.S. the CIA funding, assuming the conservative Muslim party, that's declassified information. What Richard Nixon said as vice president at the time is also declassified. There is an actual bombing campaign of Indonesia, and an American pilot is caught because he crash lands, survives, and they find his identifying papers on him.
