The Biggest Problem in the Dod
40% of the pentagons budget goes into what's called o&m Operations and maintenance. This is how you keep things running so once you Acquire them and train the troop when you provide the health care and get them clean teeth. Once you buy the equipment Now you have to operate the equipment And so this is the operations and maintenance and then you have to maintain the equipment So this is where it comes from It is by far the biggest slice of the budget.
