How Does Insomnia Affect Your Sleep?
Good sleepers over exaggerate how bad their sleep has been, even when if you do objective tests, they're totally fine. And that seems to actually predict all kinds of like symptoms of insomnia. So things like fatigue, irritability, cognitive problems, difficulties concentrating come from those beliefs. But conversely people who are non-complaining bad sleepers also have pretty disturbed nights. You know, they are objectively having a kind of deficit in their sleep.
