The Impact of Colonization in Indian Languages
In other continents where there was colonial rule, the colonial impact was as such that it wiped out native languages but in the case of India did not happen. However, the colonial times brought the printing technology and only very few languages could be printed. The one that got printed eventually got states to themselves since in India states are designed in linguistic terms. They did not get official recognition and therefore became secondary citizens in the language republic of India. So do you guys have any thoughts on this?
