The Court's Decision to Stop Prosecution
Last year you decided that a prosecution couldn't go ahead because he was suffering from Alzheimer. And the CPS has a victim's right to review policy. The decision that you took personally was overturned following a review by a distinguished QC. So Lord Jana's case went ahead, but more than two weeks after his funeral your press office refused to confirm that the case against him was at an end. We frightened of a public backlash if you were seen to have dropped the case, even though he was dead.
