When i first started acting, i sort of thought it was all about putting things on top of yourself. And so it took me a while to realize itw's letting yourself out. I remember the moment when i realized that what acting was not quite this fool sort of letting everything throug but just not this thing of covering up,. It was in the edinburgh lyceum theatre in 19 86. Why did you call your book baggage? Well, i wanted to call it scenes between two marriages, because it's the book ended by two marriages.
