Dr. Wright: The New Testament doesn't deny the different identities people have, but they will transcend it by our identity and Christ. He says Paul wants men to understand what it means to be a man in Christ, women, ditto, Jews, Gentiles,. What it means to being a Gentile in Christ. And that there is a sense in which at a second order you are still those things, he says. Dr. Wright: There is a God-given vision of social justice in the New Testament. It's not politically correct or ideology; it's God's new transformation of reality on Earth.
