Cats Don't Have the Idea of Sacrificing

Cats don't have abstract ideas for which they're prepared to die. And they don't have the idea of improving the whole world, which humans often claim to do. So why are we so drawn to these creatures if we can't get the same kind of emotional pay off from having them around as you would with a dog? Because they're different from us.
