The Importance of Incentives in the Law Industry

Lawyers don't get paid unless there's some kind of drama. So they are incentivized to create a sort of almost, or at least allow to build a system that is likely to maximize drama between companies. One would be to make the actual process of litigation less susceptible to manipulation and abuse. Another level: What incentives do law firms have with respect to their clients?
