How to Manage an Abdominal and a Hernia in an Emergency Setting
There is a thought that you can just close skin and that's it. You want as much room between the outside world and your viscera. If I can get that fascia closed primarily, whether it be with running sutures or if there's some tension on it, I'll switch to interrupted figure of eight. That way, if any specialty hiss into the whole thing doesn't unravel.
