The Supply Chain Problems We Are Seeing at the Moment With Covid
The modern family system is one of the things that has made society more brittle and vulnerable to shocks. The global supply chain system we have, in many cases, is simply too complex and too brittle. It doesn't have enough redundancy and spare capacity built into it to cope with a sudden shock like this. And so that kind of thing makes the impact of what would otherwise be manageable events much, much more severe than they should otherwise be.
