What Is a Hot Spot?
A hot spot is a complicated code that we also have to work with often. So it's a combination of technical factors, like the code quotatios and sign smells. The concept came out of my experience of using static analysis to to preoritas findings. i was inspired by technique called geographical offender profiling.
