The Importance of a Buried Memory
"I still feel a lot of shame about it but I'm trying to remember that I was a child and deserved to be protected," she says. "My mom is often inappropriately touchy with me kissing my neck with an open mouth and smacking my butt if I walk by." She doesn't have a memory, only a generalized sick feeling of her body being seen or touched by people in her immediate family. 'If what you are saying is reality and obviously it is, that's if your body doesn't feel like it's your own in the house where you're supposed to feel safe'
