The US Government's Impact on the Global Food Crisis
The US government is spending $150 million a year on innovation labs around the world, 13 of them in the United States at 13 American universities. We're really pushing greater access to fertilizer and to the other inputs that farmers need. Our drought resistant seeds are already being planted on 18 million acres in Sub-Saharan Africa. This has produced an extra billion dollars of food production and economic activity.
