You don't necessarily get a lot of pain when you're doing things. The next day, that's when you learn if what you've done has been too much. Is this bump on my Achilles tendon bad? No, not necessarily. But having said that, the bump is usually there to stay. If you've got a bump, it doesn't necessarily get better, or it may get marginally better over time. Where it is, or could be a problem, is when you’ve got a bump and you haven't got any pain - we know those people sometimes go on to rupture their Achilles tendon. That can be more of an issue.
