I was doing up to maybe eight hours on the bike each day. My bum usually hurts from the saddle. That's called in the bike world, saddle soreness. It's rather a sort of pragmatic phrase. And there's no way to stop that other than keeping on cycling. If you carry on through the pain and then cycle regularly, you'll never get saddle sore again. Because your bum basically sort of learns to deal with it. The running out of water and finding no campsite was the low point of the trip. Nothing went horribly wrong. Almost exactly one year ago, Ben Fisher was on the podcast telling us about his cycling trip from London to Paris. Now he's back to tell us about his latest cycling adventure. Last time he cycled a total of 484.7km. This time he more than doubled that distance cycling 1223.42km from the north coast of France all the way down to the south coast.
