John Defterios: The hubble space telescope was designed to be serviced by astronauts, women and men in space suits. There were five servicing missions on hubble, and you participated in three of those. He says it is true that i like to fix things. And so do that in space suits me just fine. But it is hard. You're in a bulky space suit. You've got big gloves that are like hockey gloves. So you just have to learn how to operate power tools and screw drivers and wrenches,. Even handling tiny screws without screwing up, so-speak, in space.
