Is the Click a Must in an Orchestre?

I don't know of an orchestra that can play on this level in the United States. I mean, we have classical orchestras and we have jazz orchestras. But this was classical jazz. It's amazing. And these are jazz guys who are amazing rhythmically. The only problem was that the conductor had a total meltdown because the truth is that he needs to have the click.
