Is It a Story or a Poem?
I'm a prose writer in general, but these stories are my poetry. They allow me to write, I think, a little bit more with a poetic sensibility and with a lyricism. People often do question, like, whether this is a story or whether it's a poetry. And the best answer I've always heard is that it is what you call it. If you call it a poem, it’s a poem. If you called it a story, it's a story. So I don't think it's a big deal."
