He put forward the idea of sexual intermediaries to describe people who were non-conforming. Included under this umbrella were what he considered situational and constitutional homosexuals, a recognition that there is often a spectrum of bisexual practice as well as transvestites. He was almost not revolutionary, let's say, but he was definitely moving out of his head. But I mean, in the very concept that it wasn't a strict binary of straight gay or homosexual, heterosexual.
