Paul Burst and Commonwealth by Anne Patchett

Paul Burst and Commonwealth by Anne Patchett is very much a novel about these six step siblings. It covers 50 years, in fact in their life we start with the Christening of one of them - Franny. And so that's why I love it because it's about these two families and the characters. She's brilliant on children and Patchett, which I think you have to have had a slightly unsatisfactory childhood to be so good on children... she's simply marvellous.
