The Rights of Nature
Yan says the right to nature movement works better in some places than others. In the european union, he says it's not really necessary because there are already strong environmental protections and he has wider concerns. He says that by enshrining the rights of nature above all, it risks overruling voters and elected officials. When we make decisions about the climate, we have to weigh up ing interests from many different groups of humans.
