The Importance of Colour in Making
For me making has always been difficult. You know I've not been a natural maker but I've loved it. The emphasis on the well made just beginning to realise that to me was so tedious and boring. So there was a way of maybe saying these are almost like wounds. These are fixtures that I know they're not good but I find their texture and their immediacy and their spontaneity. And then finally for me sometimes the paint is the last thing to be done on the work so it's like no you can stop now because a lot of the works I find quite difficult to actually finish.
