What Are the Highest Risk Patients?
Vestibular sendrome type patients more often come into the emergency department than they do to primary care. Most of them have inter ear diseases, typically vestibula neuritus, but a non trivial fraction, about 25 % of them have strokes. And that's kindof the highest risk group. The chronic patients are the ones who you sort of get to that chronic state by one or two mechanisms.
