Is It Possible to Compromise Between Sacred Values?
I think many people, for example, in the last election, more and more likely convicted about their preferred candidates. And there were an awful lot of people who did lose friendships. That resonates with so many experiences I've had. We really want to be friends with someone, but then they have a strong, moral attitude that you may not fully agree with. So it's really unclear how these more abstract values necessarily get expressed out when you get into concrete policy positions.
