As a freshman at Oregon state university in Corvallis, she would sit up late and listen to a local radio station. She called the station late one night and spoke to the engineer working the station. From what I recall after several late night's conversations, he and my mom decided to meet. It was probably a very cute conversation where this guy bashfully asked mom out on a proper date.
