Why Does Inflation Happen?
High inflation rates that the world is currently experiencing have a number of different causes. Russia's invasion of Ukraine, for example, has caused energy and food prices to increase. Interest rates are also high, making loan and mortgage repayments high as well. In most cases, inflation is connected to an increase in the amount of money in an economy. If there is more money, the value of each bit of money is reduced.
