The Men Without Work Problem, America's Invisible Crisis
For 50 years without much comment, we had been suffering a collapse of work for men. In the aftermath of the COVID pandemic, we seem to have a new emerging face to the flight from work in modern America. We're about 3 million, roughly speaking, about 3 million persons short in terms of labor force. That's not all prime age men; there is also a shortfall of older workers and younger women.
