A lot of the outcomes you want to achieve, i think a lot of the skills necessary to bring about those outcomes. You need to accumulate enough skill for underlying components that are going to contribute to the outcome before you actually start noticing meaningful impacts on the outcome. So, like the paddle boarding example you gave, i think is great, like that will probably improve your cardio respiratory fitness once you get pretty good at pad boarding. But when you suck at paddle boarding, you probably aren't going to be able to put enough exertion into it to stress your cardio respiratory system enough for there to be any meaningful arobic adaptations ilen.
