When is the right time to look for a mentor? I think it depends on what you are looking to get out of a mentor. Do as much research as you can so that when you finally do meet with your mentor, you have very direct, pointed questions to ask if possible. Once you've learned the fundamentals, seek a mentor that can help enrich the fundamentals that you've learned.
