i think it stifled creativity to be constantly almost thinking, like, well, how is this going to get me? How am i going to use this to advance myself? And so the idea that you'd have to like also sort of like project yourself forward, instead of and like prioratize yourself, is so backwards from a creative perspective. We live in a work environment that's toxic and doesn't allow for anything elseThat will burn us out so fast, because we're not connected to our energy source,. which is like that channel of idea or inspiration.
Sup squiggly-brained intuitives! Welcome to our six-part series on Inspired Creators, where we’ll be chatting about everything from burnout, embodying your creator archetype, finding your flow state, and what the witch wound has to do with our creative output.
This week we’re lucky to have the ingenious creative Anita Stubenrauch (@anitavisions) to talk about pushing through creative blocks and strategies for combating burnout. Over a 13-year creative career at Apple, Anita authored Apple’s credo, designed presentations given to Steve Jobs, and was Angela Ahrendts’ executive speechwriter. She currently lives in Murphys, California, where she's building a beautiful retreat space, The Land of Make+Believe while running her brand-vision agency, Cause:Effect Creative.
