Is There a Brain Scanner for Consciousness?

There is nobody who can answer that question truthfully with data and generalized theories at this point because there's so little we understand about the brain. I don't think that it is useless on the contrary, it's not useless to look at the brain to have a better understanding of consciousness. 10 years ago, anybody with who had a psychedelic trip would think my brain lit up like a Christmas tree. So now we know that that's not the case. There is no needs to wait for the next generation of brain scanner for us to understand that some of the assumptions we make are nothing but assumption. Some of our lines of thinking are incoherent and internally contradictory and I think that's worthwhile doing
