The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission or the ABDM aims to create a system in place so that individuals can access their digitized health records. The idea is similar to what other platforms like Apollo 1MG, NetMeds have already been doing. It's not a centralized system and each platform has its own rules, systems and standards. A good chunk of the 240 million people probably don't even know they have a health ID. But if the government buckled down on safety and privacy concerns, this could be a game changer.
