The Importance of Home Making

I remember tagging along with my mother to a friend's house when she went over one afternoon. We were all very excited about this in the early 70s, but it's hilarious to me that we were still at it 10 years later or 20 years later. I'm old enough to remember when home making meeting was actually on a weekday morning. And so like you say, the church was sort of, at that point, it was sort of a window for women to a broader kind of education and ideas they don't need anymore.
