The Origins of Globular Clusters

Globular clusters are ancient 10 to 13 billion years old. They orbit the halo of galaxies, most spiral galaxies and the core. Our Milky Way has about 180 globular clusters around it. The individual stars often have incredibly different proportions of elements like nitrogen to oxygen or carbon to oxygen.
