The Practical Depends Upon the Speculative
Speculative knowledge can extend the practical knowledge, but you can't start the practical knowledge. God is the one whose practical knowledge makes things the way they are. If we invert that and say, no, no, forget speculative, allow me to adjust, to manipulate, to control, to fabricate reality, we have basically put ourselves in the place of God.
