In resource theory, we learn the most efficient way to convert one resource to another. And in that conversion, of course, the original resources has been consumed. So there are sometimes if you use a catalyst, for example, it's not only that, but actually I'm not going to be doing the catalyst enable me to do even more things with the resource so there are different methods that helps us use the resource in the best possible way.
