The Internet Is a Hollow Sphere in Which Any Point Is Connected
Paul Barron inadvertently designed the Internet when he came up with his original drawing for the Rand Corporation in the early 60s. He introduced to the world this wonderful distinction between decentralized distributed, which even today we're not fully. I think there is something beyond that, which is kind of what I'd call independent, which is what the Internet is. The absence of distance is one of the things that characterizes this space. And it's an interesting story that nobody quite understands exactly how the Polydation has managed to communicate and trade among many islands that are widely separated.
