How to Measure Your Training Levels

You should be able to infer it from measures of blood lactate for example. If you take a blood lactate sample after some moderate work you shouldn't see any significant rising lactate. The only caveat is that you can't really control training in the extreme domain using a physiological marker because things just don't respond quickly enough to be useful. You're into the list finished by the time you're physical, your physiology is responding and reaches its peak after you've finished exercise.
