Cloud Flare: The Future of Self-Hosting

A lot of services that I use are clearly free for people like us, because they want us to go and adopt them in the workplace. But I think that bubble bursts quite quickly when you have large communities of self-hosters and tinkerers trying to use those services. The cloud flare on the only company who uses that business model. And I think it does make sense. If you do have a free tier that everyone can use and get hooked on, ultimately enough people will rely on it to the point where they want to use it at work at a larger scale and pay for it.
