Sentientism Doesn't Resolve Those Problems, but It Does
I wanted to ask how, how sentientism kind of extends more broadly to politics or whatever. In a way, a sentientist stance would absolutely inherit, you know, vast tranches of existing ethics that focus on how we care about other humans. Now, unfortunately, it doesn't magically resolve those things. So all it's saying is the moral scope needs to be broader so that we don't exclude any sentient being. And I think as we extend our moral consideration beyond the human species, it's actually good for us human beings who are sentient too.
