What Are the Challenges in Building a Software Service Tool?
The book leads into the community, which leads to the software. So you can draw the arrow from the book forwards or backwards. And eventually we'd like to tack a publishing business onto the end of it where we've got our best members based on the performance of their manuscripts during beta reading. But the challenge is that Bootstrapped is a bootstrapped business and people only do one book. It's kind of similar to what YC did with Hacker News where they're like, okay, alright, we've got this cool new tool.
