Do You Have Any Freedoms Under a Monarchy?

CNN's John Sutter asks: Do you not have any freedoms at all under a democracy? He points to examples from 2022 America, but also the history of monarchies. A monarchy and a representative democracy, oligarchy, every form of government, he says, only allows people freedom they allow them to have. "Let's just admit it. We have no freedom besides what they allow us to have," Sutter writes.
