The first reaction would be if we see something change, right, so a deviation from homeostasis that what might be beneficial is to drive the system back to an eave state of homeostasis. But on the other side, for sure, chronic inflammation also contributes to chronic loss of neurons and also of cognitive capacity. So again, it comes back to the point that it is very complex and we have to understand actually what are the functions of the system that allow plasticity and recovery but what are the ones actual that might drive secondary tissue injury?
