The Padres' Farm System Is Thin

The Padres have sacrificed so much over the past at last season's trade deadline they gave away a lot. I think they really kind of want to start building something but again this is a team with championship aspirations in 2023 and if they have a chance to do something that will give them a significant boost in those title odds I think they could go do it. The farm system is it is thin it's not as it once was but there's guys like like Jackson Merrill and Ethan Salas and Dylan Lascaux who kind of project are really really intriguing prospects for the long term.
