Disabled Twitter and Disability Twitter

Twitter enabled the emergence of a community among a group of people whose identity could be made salient through the affordances and platforms. This coupled with the ability of the hashtag and the quote tweet to one participate and add on to a conversation through a kind of call and response enabled black Twitter to emerge. For disability Twitter, calling responses isn't necessarily a form minting element of the disability community in the same way that it is for the black community. So we would have to engage in a process of action with the new platform to determine how best to make our identities legible which when I get to mastodon will be a kind of key point for why mastodon is kind of problematic.
