"I blacked out before I had a chance to shoot myself because there were more people walking through that area than there usually are," she says. "It wasn't until the ambulance showed up that anyone showed me an ounce of compassion" Her husband, who doesn't want to talk about this stuff, was actually very calm and his dealings with her weren't like visitation or anything like that Because of COVID, he couldn't come to the hospital and visit but spoke multiple times a day on the phone. He would bring me money when I needed it,. He'd bring me extra clothes if I needed it. There's some genetic component to this. Yeah. That's got to be hard
