Heat Pump Adoption in Cold Climates
In the US, heat pump adoption for new heating systems in say the US midwest relatively cold climate area was at about 5%. And by the late aughts, 2009, 2010, it had actually grown up to about 20%. Overall across the US, it's around 40%. But that's predominantly because of another sort of magical property of heat pumps. The same system can be used bidirectionally if it's designed appropriately and you can use one heat pump to do both cooling and heating.
